BDSradio Active Rock National Airplay chart (powered by Nielsen) : "All American Nightmare" ~ Charts at #7 this week (an increase of 42 plays for the week). Last week's chart position was #9 and it's been on the charts for 15 weeks. Mediabase Active Rock chart ~ position #8 (+43 spins), last week's position #8. In reply to Tal:The recording industry is and has been heading digital for years. Digital music has been the only part of the music industry that has shown growth in the past decade. Here's an excerpt from the blog by Paul Grein (Yahoo Music) that's enlightening. Sales Report: Here are two indications of how soft album sales are. A little more than 15 million albums were sold last week, which constituted the lowest total during Christmas week in Nielsen SoundScan history. It's less than one-third of the total (45,372,000) during Christmas week of 2000, when album sales were at their peak. Even more damning, it's less than half of the total (31,260,000) during Christmas week just four years ago. Also: This week marks the first time that the #1 album during the final week of the Nielsen SoundScan tracking year has sold fewer than 100K copies. (The previous low was set by Omarion's 21, which sold 119K during this week four years ago.) new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart_watch/72904/week-ending-jan-2-2011-this-is-no-bomb/Knowing these things and having watched the decline of physical album sales in the past 20 years, I'm not surprised. People would rather buy 1 song they've heard on the radio than shell out $10-15 for an entire album. While the technology age has given the consumer cool gadgets, it's also created a huge obstacle for the music industry and artists in kind. If those entities want to get their music out into the mainstream, they have to conform and use outlets like iTunes, Rhapsody, Zune Marketplace, etc. The trade off is having to make your music available on a per song basis and that doesn't bode well for "album sales." It also doesn't put much $$ back into the pockets of the musicians, but it's become a necessary evil. The largest hold out so far, is AC/DC. Their stance is that their music is created as a whole, not as stand alone tracks to be purchased here and there, and so they have not given in to digital music sellers like iTunes. Too bad more artists can't do the same. ETA: Tal, you're looking at ONE (1) week of album sales, that's it. The album has only been out one month this Friday.

Hinder will get plenty of album sales! I'm surprised they haven't realeased the cross over single yet.. Whatever song they choose.. Which I think ''The Life'' is really going to be huge. When Take It To The Limit hit stores they had already released the rocker and the cross over single and i can't really remember how long they waited on Extreme Behavior until they released Lips after Get Stoned...

^^"Get Stoned" went to radio end of July, 2005, "Lips" end of March, 2006.

i don't think we'll have to wait long. they are asking for fans to help decide what'll be next after all

I really think The Life would be a good idea as a new single, with all it's buzz and everything. That would be their best bet, i think. But i can think of a few that would do them good. I'm really hoping this record does a little better than Take It. I know i personally like it better.

Well I have to agree with you, Jackie. I think with all the talk about ''The Life'' by people it would be their best bet. I really don't know though I think a really strong single would also be ''Hey, Ho'' or ''Waking Up The Devil'' but there is too many good songs on this record to choose. If we're talking about a cross over single though.. I gotta go with ''The Life''.
