Battle of the Bands Summerfest Milwaukee, Wisconsin July 02 2011
(I Finally posted this thread, Better late than never I guess! Lol! , I better hurry up though)
Hinder Wins the Battle of the Bands Saturday Night to a full Pack house of Loud FANS!
If you never been to Summerfest Milwaukee, Wisconsin They say Its the Worlds Largest Music Festival in the world its has 11 stages & over 700 bands in 11 days but each night theirs 7 big stages (one is the Amphitheater which you pay extra for) so that leaves 6 big stages & 4 smaller stages, so you can go to any stage you want too after paying to get in that's were the term comes from & each stage has its Headliner & this night it was between Hinder,Maroon5, Stephen Marley,The Airborne Toxic Event,Loretta Lynn, Phil Vassar
But this night at summerfest belonged to the Rock Stage & it belong to Hinder & wanted the other stages to hear this stage ( I talked to some of the vendors outside the following night & they said the fans were loud )
it was a really Hot Saturday I was a little worried about the crowd size 2 1/2 hours before Hinder since I mentioned Summerfest last year.
But the crowd just kept pouring in & every time I looked to the back Another 500 people came in & than I looked to the entrances path way & they were still pouring In
The Rock stage is the only stage w bleachers on both sides (not counting the Amphitheater) & the stage is higher than the other stages & its one of the best ones & by the time Hinder played, their were no seats & no standing room anyware
I talked to some people who went to the wrong stage to see Hinder & they ended in the gate way since their was no room in the back to even stand Lucky for them it was to the left of the stage, I ended up about 5 rows back a little closer than normal for me (lol)
The band had a lot of energy & smiles for everybody Mark, Mike & Blower all played hard, The stage was big enough for Blower to go visit Mark on the other side of the stage to continue the dueling Guitars, its nice to see both of them smiling together
about the 3/4 though the show I looked up were did Mike Go? But I think they super glued him back together & their he was again (I hope it was bass related) every thing sounded Great & the Light show was Amazing
really looked way back into the crowd more than normal he was taking it all in & He played w the crowd & the crowd played back so he made sure that we all yelled louder so said I Want The other Stages to hear the Rock stage so yell !!!! I like how he plays w the crowd more & its working, cuz the crowd gets crazy with screaming & yelling & singing ;D
Oh, the bench seats are great for sitting but when the bands starts playing you have to stand on them & its hard on the Calf Muscle, especially when people are jumping up & down (your constantly moving your weight from the tips of your feet to the heals , just to stay on the bench seats & they are pretty high too)
