Hinder-Live at Rockfest, Kansas City, MO

So Rockfest was a blast, this was my first time going. For those of you who have never been, it's in Liberty Memorial Park in downtown Kansas City, on the site of the only WWI memorial in the U.S., very cool location. Two stages are set up on either side of the park, The Main stage is jammed full of the best rock acts in the business, which included headliner Disturbed, and then Stone Sour, Papa Roach, Alter Bridge, Sevendust, Halestorm, and our boys Hinder. The second stage included some of the up and coming artists which included 10 years, Red Line Chemistry, All that Remains, and many others. I of course chose the main stage. After all I haven't seen the guys in 4 years, and I wanted to see one of my favorite bands, Alter Bridge, whom I have never seen. We inched our way to the front for Hinder/Alter Bridge, and everyone else I had either already seen, or didn't care to keep battling the rough and rowdy crowd for. Halestorm kicked off the main stage, and they were esome as usual, second time I've seen them. Next was Hinder. The guys came on at 2:40 in the afternoon. A lot of the people around me were complaining about Hinder being on this stage, I kept hearing comments such as," These guys suck" "These guys are to wimpy for this stage" and so on. It took all that I had to hold back, but I kept thinking, these people are in for a big shock. Man was I right. Hinder came on, introduced by some Porn Star, and a famous Porn Director, Hedgehog...didn't know who he was, but he said, " This is what all girls jack off too, Hinder is what gets them off, are you ready for this Kansas City?" The guys opened with 2 sides of me, which was esome, my favorite track off the new album. I was blown ay, these guys got the whole crowd going, everyone was going nuts for them. The last time I s them they only had one album out, and seeing them with material from TITTL and AAN, was a so esome. The guys killed it, and completely won over the crowd. I thought they were the best performance of the day. I can't wait to see them with a full set in my hometown of North Platte, in June. North Platte has no idea whats coming to town.
