So someone insinuated to me the other day that I was not a true Hinder fan if I did not keep my Army membership and go to every show within my area. This really pisses me off! I work 2 jobs (starting a 3rd soon) and I go to college full time. I have seen the band 11 times and met them numerous times. The only real reason to join the fanclub is to get the chance to buy M & G tickets. Well, I for one cannot justify to myself buying a M & G ticket to meet people that I have already met!!! Especially when hardly of that many makes it back to the band. I supoort this band 100%. I buy the CD's and I go to the shows, but I don't have a money tree growing in my backyard that I can go to every show! So I am going to let people think what they want but I can tell you right now I am a true fan who has a life!

I wouldn't let them get to me Stac. You know you are and that's all that matters. Who cares what they think. I've been following the guys for 5 yrs now and I'm not in the hinder army and I see them when I'm able but that's not often but that doesn't mean I love them any less

Agreed and since we had a conversation @ this very subject last night you know the rest of my feelings on the matter! I'd rather put the $$ straight into their hands and forgo the M&G at times, they know who I am, they know when I'm at a show and usually you get to see them anyway w/out a M&G when that's the case. BUT being a fan club member or not being one doesn't make you any less of a fan, neither does the # of shows you've been to in x number of years. The fact that they know us all anyway, is enough to show what kind of fans we've become.

It just got under my skin because they expected me to drop EVERYTHING and go to a show! I mean seriously. I have to keep my job. I can't keep taking off. And the way my health has been lately, I am not sure that I could travel for a show. Hell, today is my first day back at work and I am struggling!

that's BS, don't let those people who think like that bother you. I have not bought an M&G ticket since AA made them $100, and I can't travel as far/ often to see them as I used to be able to, but I don't love Hinder any less. Sometimes other things have to come first.

yup i agree, you will go next time they are around. i have seen them 7 times and all but one i got to hang out with the guys. just comes to show, you don;t have to have lots of money for the guys to acknowledge you. they know who their TRUE fans are, and that is all that matters =)

Being a true fan is not measured in shows or being in their army. A true fan is someone they've gotten to know. Someone who is still there supporting them after years through their ups and downs. Someone who sees them when they can and the band knows who you are. As along as you support them for however many years, months or weeks that's what makes you a true fan.

Don't worry abt it Stacy, you kno how many times its been implied that I wasn't a true Hinder fan because I haven't met they guys a million times? I've never met them once! And I am in the army, but hell if I can afford a hundred dollar concert ticket right now. I don't have a job at all my mom isn't working, so I see Hinder every chance I get, even if its not multiple times a year. I have never had meet and greet with them, but I've been to enough shows to where the last one I went to was amazing tio me all night and he sang to me and held my hand and I still get excited every time he came near me. I have been a Hinder fan since extreme behavior and I won't ever let anyone tell me I am not a real fan.

Lol heather. You took me out cause they sure don't know me. Well they might know the screen name but they wouldn't know me. But I know what kind of fan I am and that's all that matters. What others think doesn't matter and it shouldn't to you either stacey. Annoying as hell, of course, but not important.

agreed with all the above statements! BUT i dont think a true fan can be judged by how well one does or doesnt know the boys! When people get that judgemental it shows they are SMALL MINDED! People need to learn that just because you see things that way doesnt make it right just different! I have 3 kids and generally do weekend shows cuz its when im "kidless" Im friends with all types of people and would never JUDGE the amount of "fandom" based on the number of shows, to the extent at which you know the boys, or how much you do or dont hang out with them! thats just stupid! And stacey ive been to shows with you in my opinion you are a true fan! HUGS!
