Pre-show activities...open bar in the room (Thanks to my favorite sister-in-l. She rocks!) Vanilla Mud Slides are the best! (Yep, she even brought a blender.) We then headed out to have hot dogs with the rest of the group. Got lost, didn't find our destination but while driving around looking for it, we found the venue. (By the way, driving in Dallas sucks.) So, we had no other choice. We stopped at a store for beer and wine and set up in the parking lot of the venue.
We met some esome people from Tulsa who showed up in home-made Hinder shirts. Each had lyrics from the songs on their shirts. They wanted sigs so bad, and one guy said that he really, really wanted Hinder to sign his cast. (Huge cast on his leg.) We told them to get in line early!
I had a little bit of trouble getting my ticket from will call (will call sucks, too!) But finally made it into the venue. I don't know how pit tickets are at other shows, but at this one, I was THRILLED we had pit tickets. The pit was very small, and everyone with pit tickets were right down front. It was esome. Hinder came out, and the party was on! I am amazed at how much they improve with every show. really, really worked the crowd and at one point Mark went flying from one side of the stage to the other. As usual, everyone was singing along to the songs and the crowd really got into Lips Of An Angel. And, of course, the crowd went nuts with Get Stoned. It was the best 6 song set I've ever seen. Oh, I almost forgot! It seems that Mike has an obsession. Hydration. lol In KC he was concerned about the people passing out and no one giving them water. The concert was hot as hell (outside, huge crowd, 100 degree weather) Anyway, at one point, he threw bottles of water to the crowd. Way to go, Mike!
We missed Chevelle, but they sounded good from the outside (waiting for Hinder). We didn't even try to get in line (way too long) but we were able to get a poster signed anyway. (Bodyguards rock, too!) At the front of the line were our new friends from Tulsa. Everyone whooped and hollered when the guys signed the cast!
Guys, I couldn't resist... I enlisted the help of the Tulsa group and we yelled out...I love HEAD! lol Cody just grinned and shot us the rock sign.
They cut off the line right in front of two girls who looked about 12 and the girls started crying. I felt so sorry for them. Getting cut off sucks, huh, Harmony and Tracy? Anyway, for the rest of the evening, we just hung out on the pavillion, drinking and talking. Met up with Ryan and Marshall from Faktion. It was great seeing them. Ryan is such a sleeper-dog! lol.
We went back into the venue for Nickelback, but the place was too damn hot to stay very long. I like Nickelback. I'm looking forward to seeing them in Kansas City.
Sadly, no camera. But, I did take some pics with my phone. I don't know if they will turn out, but if they do, I'll post them.
GD! Hinder ROCKS!!!!!!
