Beleive it or not my camera is pretty old and not even available on the market anymore. I use an Olympus C-765 Ultra Zoom 10x digital zoom, 4.0 megapixels. I shoot on sports setting with no flash. I have a very steady hand and have been shooting concerts for a really long time, 300+ concerts. I really want the new Olympus SP-565 UZ www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1393

All camera are different In Auto-Mode! Most don'twork good at all If Your Pic's are Blurry, That means the shutter speed is too slow! you can check Your Photo's & find out I like 1/30 to start with or Faster & their all kinds of other factors too Here How (Short version) A Quick way to view your camera Setting & Helps determine what works & what does Not! 1. Click on the Original Photo which opens W/ MS Windows Picture & Fax Viewer 2. Move Mouse arrow into photo, 3. Rt click & tree comes up , Move down to Properties 4. Click , (A POP window Appears) 5. RT Click on Summery Top Tab) 6. than go to bottom click on Advanced This pic show what it looks like, if you find it! & will show some of the camera Settings! The First thing I learned is shutter speed! anything under 1/10 & most of them under 1/20 were Blurry! I hope this helps!

Yep, Mine is at 1/100 sec. And another thing i do is with exposure compensation, one of the things i love about my olympus is i can adjust this manually per shot with the touch of a button and find most i end up shooting at a minimum of -0.3 to -1.0
And fran, I love your pics! =D

I also see use you like metering & I use Spot? Might be cuz you were so close? I see you really do have a Steady Hand! I looked up your camera Yesterday Maybe you don't need another one! anyway I upgraded my Camera from a Kodak which I used only in manual mode I never had any luck in sports mode The only reason I upgraded was for shooting Video's Anyway any tips are more than welcome I'm always willing try new settings & Welcome to the board
