Hey. I was just wondering if Sharpie's hold up in the washer/dryer? I was wanting the band to sign a tshirt or hoodie for me with a sharpie and wanted it to LAST!!!! And, if so, does a black sharpie work best, or does that just depend on the color of shirt. Hey, thanks for any help with this matter. It may be a stupid question, but I will have my first m and g next month!!!! I'm new at this.

You can wash clothes w/sharpie signings BUT it will eventually fade. The best thing I've found is to wash the signed clothes by hand (in cold water) and hang them to dry, but it will still fade over time. I have used the washer and dryer and been very disappointed when it faded almost completely gone. As for black vs. like silver ~ doesn't seem to matter, it all fades the same. Hope that helps you out!

Oh, thank you! That does help. I wish there would be something that wouldn't fade. Oh well. I guess I'll never wash it.

You know, you could try a permanent fabric marker. I've never used one but the sites say they will last?? It's worth a shot. I may take one to my next show and have them re-sign my jacket.

this is probably the best idea:
get them to sign it, but don't wear it put it on a wall or in a frame...
sounds eh, difficult?
but it does look excellent on a wall

I've had people say that, but my jacket is too special for me not to wear. I spent way too much time on it and the guys love it so I wear it proudly.

I don't wear my HINDER ARMY shirt that I had the guys sign, but if I had that"badass jacket" that you do Ds, I'd still wear it too!LOL And then you have an excuse to go and get the guys to sign it again!( Like you need an excuse!)

make sure to take a pic of anything you have signed before you wash it....then you'll always have the shirt or whatever with you in a pic if the sigs are gone
